My Story

​

My journey into design began with a passion for helping homeowners see the full potential of their spaces. In 2011, I  I founded CK Design in San Diego, California, building the company from the ground up as a home staging business. Over the next five years, I partnered with homeowners and real estate professionals to prepare homes for the market, learning firsthand how thoughtful design, color, furniture placement, and attention to detail can completely transform a space.

In 2016, my family had the opportunity to move to Sweden for two years—an experience that broadened my appreciation for architecture, design, and the way different cultures create inviting homes.

After returning to California, I was honored when former clients, a husband-and-wife real estate team, invited me to lead the staging company they had developed after seeing the success of my original business. For the next three years, I managed their staging company, continuing to help homeowners and real estate professionals create homes that stood out in a competitive market.

Life eventually brought my family to the St. Louis area, where I reopened my business as CK Staging & Design in Lake St. Louis in 2025.

While my roots are in home staging, my business has naturally evolved to focus primarily on interior decorating. I discovered that what I enjoy most is helping homeowners create spaces they'll love living in every day—not just preparing them to sell. Today, I offer both design consultations and decorating services, providing practical guidance, personalized design plans, and thoughtfully curated recommendations that fit each client's style, needs, and budget.

I believe great design doesn't require starting over. Some clients want a complete room transformation, while others simply need help choosing paint colors, arranging furniture, selecting new pieces, or creating a cohesive plan. Whatever the project, I strive to make the design process enjoyable, approachable, and tailored to your goals.

In my free time, I enjoy golf, pickleball and all that Lake St. Louis has to offer as well as traveling with my husband especially to visit our three grown children.
